I remember reading a Helen Keller memoir where her teacher mentioned that. Though, I think their method of finger writing might be more effective than holding someone's hand against your mouth so they can feel your words?

In any case, sweet like sugar. Even if it didn't fit in the Bingo card :]

I'm glad you like it! Kakashi is trying to teach Iruka finger writing, that's why he's signing into Iruka's hand and holding that hand underwater so Iruka understands. Iruka doesn't know how to sign back yet, so Kakashi has to read his lips, which is why his hand is on Iruka's face.

-__-;;; that's so complicated... If I was blind, I'd probably die. Deaf I could probably handle, maybe. Though I'd miss being able to hear music and stuff, well until I forgot what it sounded like anyways

I know what you mean. I'd go crazy if I went blind or deaf, though I'm more scared of going blind than deaf. I love music but you can see sounds; you can't hear colors.

Kakashi, though, doesn't know any different, so it doesn't bother him as much.

Being disabled would be so difficult. Although having someone caring like Iruka and Naruto would definitely make it slightly easier.

Kakashi's lucky to have them, even if he doesn't really know Iruka yet.

Blind and deaf... I think I remember seeing a cartoon with a story like that, but I can't be sure; it was a long time ago. Being disabled is not fun...
But it's nice to see you write again XD

If you remember that cartoon, let me know. For some reason, when you mentioned cartoon, I thought of this really old Raggedy Ann cartoon about a blind girl.

I'm glad to be writing again, even if I'm a bit rusty.

This was a really interesting read! Do you know anyone with any disabilities like this? It would be nice to see this in a longer format, especially because no one believed a deaf-blind man could raise a child alone, or even look after himself without help. It would be nice to see how Kakashi had functioned before and after this scheme of Naruto's.

I would like to write a larger fic in this 'verse, but I need to read about Helen Keller again. It's been a while and I don't know anyone with those disabilities.

I have other fics to write for this mini bingo challenge, and some for hc_bingo so it might be while before I get back to this.
