I should probably start planning for nano. Previous years, I tried to write original fiction and completely failed to even make the halfway mark. So this year I'm thinking of trying fanfiction. I have a few ideas ( Read more... )

I know the feeling and I'm also getting ready for this years NaNo. From what I can tell, I would suggest the first one. Because even you don't have a plot, you have an idea and that is at least that's something.

Me I'm doing a Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha and Dragonball Z crossover for NaNo this year. Like you I don't have a plot but a few ideas what I want. The genre is going to be bizarro and the raw idea is a cross between the bachelorette and survivor, but on random dimensions of existence. One female OC, 10 hot anime guys and they have to deal with each other and get the girl to choose one of them while going to these weird places an all the while their friends and families are watching them on TV.

You do Nano? Awesome! Someone else to commiserate with when it comes November. I gotta get my rear in gear and start planning too. I did fanfic one year, and up until last year, it was the most I'd accomplished. I made it by the skin of my teeth last year with a horrendous original fic. (No amount of editing will save that sucker. -.- )

If you want more info about the jet twins, I have the comic that came with their toys and can scan it for you if you haven't seen it yet. Really, there's not much more to them than that comic. TFA doesn't really show how they react to anyone but Sentinel, whom they pretty much obey without question.

I will love you forever if you could scan it for me! Even if I decide not to write TFA for nano, I have been wanting to read that comic.

And I've been doing nano for several years now. Never, ever completed it though. I always quickly lost interest in the story I was writing and ended up having to force myself. I'm just not good at creating characters, I don't think. And I tend to forget to create female characters. Thank god for fanfiction.

Here's my nano profile.

All righty, here's the scans: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v170/Wolfgirl_Tami/Comic%20Scan/

For some reason, the last page ended up at the front of the album. Also, I apologize for the terrible quality. I fail at scanning.

I have the opposite problem. I can't figure out my male characters to save my life. I'm a procrastinator, so I decided to do two stories last year. In procrastinating on working on the one, I finished the other.

Sweet! I'll add you as my writing buddy!

Thank you! And it's ok about the quality!

It's not that I can't create female characters. I just forget that I have to include them. Mainly because I don't like reading about women. There are exceptions, though.

I'll add you too! What's your username?
