Thanks. I know so many people will read this and think "what a stubborn kid..." But I really couldn't focus on anything besides it clearly NOT being a bucket until she called it what it was.
"Lunch bucket" strikes me as a slightly odd usage, actually. I've heard people say "lunch pail" plenty since it used to be much more common for schoolchildren to use buckets/pails to carry their lunches to school out in the country, but for some reason I don't think I've heard anyone say "lunch bucket". Could just be regional variations, though...
