Cheap bitch

This morning I was giving Chuck a bit of the third degree about an item on the shopping list - a flat of Honest Tea - because I was trying to be frugal. How quickly did he go through the last one? I probably should worry less; or at least set my worry threshold to "if I have to pull money from savings to pay for the credit card bill to keep from carrying a balance." That's probably a better threshold to have. Our generation as a collective experiences a lot of frustration with money, because we've been taught to save and simply aren't able to. It's probably better, at least for now, to just worry about day-to-day life.

Tomorrow will get here soon enough etc, etc.

It's hard to worry less about something you've worried about for a long time, but I think you and your husband will both be happier if you worry less.

I try to be frugal at the store. And even though I know it is essentially a "lazy tax", I continue to buy the packets of oatmeal... all the while criticizing every other convenience purchase we make.
I just can't be trusted to measure out oatmeal at 6am. Maybe if i portioned it ahead of time...
