Poll The Heathers Present: A Lunchtime Poll

So, yeah. Things not on that poll include, "the rest of Due South" and "all of Slings & Arrows", because I'm a retard who can't look at Paul Gross in public without feeling like everyone knows how badly I want to fuck him. Which...is actually true, probably. So.

poll, television

I would like to clarify my vote.

When I say "Yes! Watch Big Brother!", I do not include BB1, which was boring and not nearly as much fun as any of the subsequent seasons.

I would also say watch 2, 4, 6, and 7 before 3 and 5, because they are the least trashy exciting.

Also, if you are pondering this before having... acquired all of the seasons? *coughs* That can be arranged.

[cough] I have not acquired seasons, no. However, I'm worried that if I can't watch it and like, discuss it with other people who are also watching it, I won't get sucked in. ...I think I need to wait until this season is over, and then watch it with my mom (who got sucked into BB8 because she was in the same room as it for all of 5 minutes).

did you watch big love when katie was watching big love? it's ... interesting. bonus points for being freakin' LONG, each episode is 50 minutes with no commercials.

No I did not watch Big Love...I hear you hate it? And Katie says it's good but she wouldn't expect anyone else to like it. These are not ringing endorsements.

i posted about it this morning, but basically: i think it's interesting and good -- it's very well-made, which sounds dumb, but there is a weird detached way where it's just a very good show. it's just that most of the time, watching it makes my skin crawl, because the gender issues squick me. and on a meta level, the show knows what it's showing you is fucked up, but none of the characters know it's fucked up, so, i don't know. it would be worth trying a couple episodes.

Sorry, I think LJ ate my comment. Doctor Who or The Prisoner are my votes.

I said Freaks and Geeks, but assuming you watch one episode a day, you'll burn through them in less than a month's worth of workdays. After that, you should go for Homicide: Life on the Street, because that's 122 episodes, which equals six months of commutes at one episode per day.

Do you need me to do the math that shows how long it would take for these shows if you watch *two* episodes per day? It represents the upper limit of my math skills, so I would feel like I was showing off.

ooooh...see I would watch 2 per day at least (I was managing 3 or 4 per day of FNL towards the end, because I'm a crazy person). But still. THREE MONTHS OF TV.
