I think, to really appreciate that filk, I would have to (a) have read HBP more than once, (b) have read T.S. Eliot's The Wastelands (I always meant to get around to it...) and (c) have more patience for reading classic poetry than I currently possess.
But I read it anyway. ^^;; And found it occasionally funny but mostly bizarre.
You don't have to have read HBP more than once. We didn't read it more than once. The filk was just sort of a bit of horror that sprung from our heads full-formed, like Athena, only less graceful. Far less graceful. ...I'm not going to spoil everyone's illusions as to how long and hard we slaved over this, but, uh, take your shortest estimation and divide it by half.
