I have heard of him, but haven't read any of his works. This does sound like an interesting beginning for a work though. Naturally, I love the whole supernatural vibe to it.

I don't always know what Neil book to recommend to people first but I know you would love The Graveyard Book

It's a quick, great read and yes definitely supernatural...

Yes, I've heard about that book and it does seem very interesting.

Also, even though I don't know who this Ed is, the idea of a character plus a book being a OTP makes me smile, in an offbeat kind of way.
