My Favorite Classic Actresses

Feb 14, 2010 12:36

In continuation of my favorite classic series the following are my favorite actresses from the classic period. But instead of posting pictures I decided to post some video tributes I found (and in a few cases actual clips from films). Besides I already posted a lot of classic actress photos here. :)

Yeah I watched Black Narcissus and Great Expectations recently in honor of her (well one came on TCM, one I got from the library).

That's one of hers I actually have not seen yet. I will have to look into it though. It sounds like an interesting movie. :)

I do remember seeing the cover for it a long time ago somewhere (maybe at a video rental place).

Thank you for posting this! Lov 'em, especially Audrey Hepburn (have Nun's story in my netflix queue), Ingrid Bergman (esp., in "Murder on the Orient Express" and hope to see "For whom the Bell tolls"), and Marlene Dietrich ("Witness for the Prosecution" and "The Nuremberg Trial" are amazing).

very happy v day!

I am still getting over the fact that you are on LJ :D

I've seen them all except "For Whom the Bell Tolls" If you watch that you will have to tell me what you think.

I love Audrey's performance in Nun's Story but the film itself is just alright IMO

Awesome list! I'm actually working on my top 20 actors list. It's a bit difficult...

I know it's so hard to narrow it down: Colbert, Arthur, & Hopkins actually could have been in my top 10 as well (of the honorable mentions they are definitely high up there).

Looking forward to seeing your list. :)
