In Which We Serve

I caught this 1942 film last night on TCM as tribute to the NY Film Critics Winners that did not end up winning the Oscar and I really enjoyed it.

Maybe it's because I like men in uniform, maybe it's because I like the Noel Coward/David Lean partnership, or maybe it's because I like WWII films but either way I really enjoyed this one.

Here it is on Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiots-Guide-World-War/dp/0028627350/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1262788194&sr=8-1

As I said above while it seems to be very good for the European side of war it's information so far on the Asian side of the war is a little lacking. Still an informative read. :)

I remember watching that film years ago and having no idea what was going in.:P Maybe I should see it again now that I'm older.:D

Sounds like an interesting book.

Well admittedly the first few minutes when the submarine was sinking I was pretty confused too. But it started to come together for me during the flashback scenes. XD
