Moe as an Insult

So this website I need to do this project is down so I decided to post on here instead about something that is bothering me. Lately I have been seeing more and more people call cute/sweet natured charactes Moe as an insult (and admittedly I am probably guilty of this myself.) I am talking about characters like Nia, Hagu, Ranka, etc. Okay don't get

Yeah, I so agree. I'm so tired of fans hating characters just because they're "MOE," but then at the same time holding nothing against "fansservice" characters. I don't like the whole MOE thing, but I think Nia is adorable and there's a ton more to her character than that. Just like there is a ton more than fanservice to Yoko.

Exactly if you hate Moe but ignore fanservice then I think you miss the point of what is wrong with Moe in the first place. But yeah Yoko and Nia are both great characters despite the moe and fanservice.
