Yeah if this is true it sounds really disappointing. :(

I mean why just do a retelling after all this time.

Because they are out of ideas and probably though using the old ideas were good. D: LOSERS. They are not helping us Slayer fans! I don't approve if this is it. D:

Well I think episodes 13-26 might be new stuff so I might just skip the first 13 episodes and just watch the latter half.

Whaaaat. D: Well...I'll probably still end up watching it anyway, since I haven't seen much of NEXT. But that's really disappointing. Maybe they think they need to get new viewers caught up on the backstory since the first two seasons aired over ten years ago?

On the other hand, KINO DISCUSSION WHERE? *.* I feel like rewatching it now myself...

I would recommend just watching Next. Since they are condensing 52 episodes into 13 I think they will cut a lot of the fun stuff from the original. But I think you are right and this is just a rehash to get people caught up. Although if it was me I would just do a quick summary rundown in one episode instead of wasting the first half of the new series on it.

It hasn't started officially yet. I think they are opening up the dicussion thread on the 30th. :)

But here is the original thread how this all started

Okay Enoki films is this... weird company that sort of does not know what they're talking about at all. I remember them from way, way back when (like 2000 or even before).

This is not a summary of Revolution, it's a summary of the first several novels. I can say with full assuredness that Slayers is a new story based, on the cast of new characters alone.

Well I'll take your word for it and that is good to hear. I don't see the point of doing a 13 episode rehash

Wow, it's really a shame that a professional company could be so inaccurate.

Enoki films is really. Special about the way they present shows to be liscenced.

Don't worry, Revolution is NOT GOING TO BE A REHASH OF THE FIRST TWO SEASONS.

I never heard of them before this so I guess I didn't realize they could be misleading. Although I wish ANN would not post things like that without some type of disclaimer.

Hm, maybe if it's a partial retelling of the original series and next, it will be more true to the novels! ::excited::

No idea if the second part is in the novels or not. I didn't get that far.

Well I guess the summary was inaccurate so that is good. :)
