Ow. I don't know what pains me more: the 'preview' of Slayers Revolution ("I have no idea what Slayers is like but this art seems moe") OR the fact that that goddamn mascot character is in the anime art, too. I was hoping it would be a gimmick only for the manga.

I'm not usually a huge fan of mascot characters (unless its Chopper from OP) but they don't really bother me.

And despite maybe the eyes being slightly bigger (but not by much) and everything being a little brighter the character designs remind me of the original series. Anyways I never felt Slayers was Moe but that doesn't mean Moe fans won't be attracted to it but I don't think that should be held against the series. :)

No, no I was referring to his assessment of the series based solely on the art.

It's just that...Slayers has never been a mascot character show.

Yeah, that mascot character really creeps me out. I am not pleased with it's inclusion, either.

o.O You're right. What's up with Zel's hair? It doesn't look nearly as stiff as it did before.

I don't really agree. Take a look at the promotional images from the original series. It looks pretty similar to a lot of those. Yeah it looked stiffer in the actual show, but not really in the promo images (which this is one).

At least he doesn't have the membrane over his eyeball. XD

I am ashamed I never heard of it but I looked the original series up and the premise does sound interesting. :)

I agree when I look at the Slayers images it doesn't come off as Moe to me at all but that is because I am familiar with the series (and I was for years even before I watched it) but with all the Moe stuff out there now maybe if someone knew nothing about Slayers they would mistake it for Moe from the image alone.

But I corrected them on that blog anyways.

although how you can be unfamiliar with Slayers is weird in itself.
