I've yet to form any particular opinion about Nene but I find the casting rather intriguing. In the opera version of this there is usually two different ways to cast "the female lead" (Antonia/Olympia/Giulietta). Either you opt for one singer doing all three roles thus portraying Hoffman's female nemesis and symbolizing Stella (who doesn't seem to be included in this version.) Or you have three separate singers for the three roles which makes sense since they are very different in character. The fact that they do both here is interesting and I would love a chance to see both versions.
I also love the fact that they might be doing the combination of Niklausse/Muse as one character with Asumi Rio.
Yeah, its just I don't particularly care much for Nene. I will admit she is a pretty good actress, but only for certain roles. I don't think she should have gotten all three roles. I don't think she has the voice for Antonia or the charm and elegance for Giulietta. Olympia I can see. Also I think its unfair. I really wanted each part to have their own girl or at least have all three roles played by someone older and more vocally talented
