That morning I woke up surprisingly without a hangover. I felt awful though for putting Maureen through my drunkness. I'm so sorrrry!!! I woke up before Maureen did, took a shower and got back into my clothes and waited around for her to wake up. I watched skystage in the hotel while Maureen got herself cleaned up. I saw Ruisu's Memories of and it made me sad, but it was nice. Maureen and I were amused greatly by watching her play this tiny kazoo and making this rather sexy otokoyaku face. Really funny.
Well after getting ready we decided to head down and check out. I went to put my glasses on and noticed I was missing a lens completely. After some searching around the room and my purse, we both concluded that it must have fallen at the bar. Neither of our phones had any charge (rental phones suck in that regard) so I had to head back to the hostel without the lens.
Now, I can see all right without them, but I'm screwed with signs that are faraway or high up. Plus, I had to be back at the hostel to check out before 11am and pack. Things that I was going to do last night instead of being passed out drunk in a hotel room...
Thankfully, I was able to get everything worked out. Also with the help of my wifey I was able to get in contact with the bar. They had my lens and I could go pick it up. So, I checked out, packed, takkyubin'd my luggage, and made dinner arrangements with
sumire_no_hana.
Well, after everything was done and I figured out what I had to.... came the adventure. I was asked to call the bar owner and I was completely freaking out. I didn't think I could handle Japanese on the phone. Somehow I managed to get across and understand what was going on. I met Manda at the station and we both headed to the bar and I proceeded to fail at telling bar owner where I was. I made Manda take over and eventually we both managed to meet up and get my lens.
I was terribly embarrassed both for my drunken behavior and having to put the owner through trouble. I still am embarrassed, even though I've been reassured that everything is okay and that I provided endless entertainment. Not to mention it was raining.
After that, Manda and I headed into Umeda because my night bus left from the Sky Building. She took me to this kaiten-sushi place with a One Piece theme XD It was awesome and delicious!!! Even though on the way there it started to storm like crazy. It only let up as soon as we walked into the place. I was not amused. Even so, it was great place. Plus, it was great to be with Manda again!
Afterwards, Manda took me to the Sky building. We walked out of the place and it started to pour again. The closer we got to the place the worse it got. I was wearing flats so I ended up getting completely soaked, as did all my stuff. When we got near the theater, I had to stop to roll my leg pants up into capris because they were so wet. I looked an utter mess. Stupid typhoon. I'm so glad that I managed to get soaking wet pretty much in the same city and location twice. (I had to do demachi once on J'08 during a heavy rainfall at Umeda theater. Long skirt + crouching + flats = soaked, grumpy Teffy).
We got to the building, but we both sort of failed to figure out immediately where the actual stop was. So that involved more trudging around in the rain. Eventually, we figured out the terminal was inside. I said goodbye to Manda and immediately found a bathroom to change in. Thankfully I had a change of clothes in my backpack and they didn't really get wet (yay plastic bags!). Afterwards, I waited around until my check in time. The Willer bus terminal in Umeda is realllly nice. They had computers with free access to the internet, so I could catch up with email and such while I waited.
Eventually I checked in and headed out to board the bus. It was full so I had a lady next to me, but it was actually very comfortable. It was a double decker bus and had lots and lots of space, pillows and blankets. I really liked it. I just wished I wasn't damp lol. I pretty much passed out as soon as I got on pretty much till I got to my stop. Which caused me to miss those mythical glorious Japanese rest stops ... AGAIN xD One day I will know that the hype is.
