"Wao was an apprentice to Ban-san, a 19th-century scientist. Through a series of events, Ban-san's house caught on fire and Wao was trapped inside. But instead of dying she got transported to the 21st century. There Susshii-san found her, with no memories, and they worked on time travel research together. Eventually they perfected a formula and Wao went back in time, magically to the same place she had been before. Wao repeats her actions of the past, becoming Ban-san's apprentice, falling in love with Hana, etc. In the past Marietta is trying to get Ban-san's bomb research, and in the future the government is trying to take Susshii's research. Before Susshii gets taken away she gives a letter she got from an old Mizu before she died. Wao takes it back to the 19th century with her and shows it to Mizu, who learns what is going to happen.
The first time Wao was caught in the fire, Mizu stopped Hana from going after her and Hana spend the rest of her life pining for Wao, believing that she would come back. Mizu, desperate to make Hana happy, started researching time travel and created the basis for Susshii's work. This time when the fire happens, Mizu lets Hana go to Wao so they can die together and be 'happy'."

Okay, first and foremost this is one of lesser known Soragumi shows. I'm so glad to have finally watched it and I really loved it. It was an odd choice of a plot, but a really good one!! TIME TRAVELING 'SIENNES! I enjoyed watching this with wao_wao and we both were crying by the end.
There was so much to love. The acting was really well done and not much singing. Soragumi broke out of their mould quite a bit, like it was Hana this time that was the object of a love triangle. Mizu was in love with Hana, but of course Hana was in love with Wao. And yet gasp! It wasn't a triangle at all, but a pentagon! Machami was in love with Mizu and Riki was in love with Machami! Oh the crackiness of it all.
Ban Akira was amazing in this too. I was really nice to see her in a much older role as a very quirky inventor ^_^ also Susshii-san was paving the way for A/L as one of the time traveling research scientists. I wonder what is it about scientists that requires silly white wigs. Wao was also out of her usual element too. She wasn't broody or super angsty! She was smiling :O and being a total dork! Hana was her usual amazing self :D Mizu was... Mizu. I felt so bad for her. Heartbroken Mizu is.... very saddening to see ;.; But, but I think Riki and Marietta needs special mentioning because both of them were amazing as the villains of the story! Oh it was wonderful to see them in period costume and being scheming and evil!
Sadly, though there were lots of babies, it was very hard to spot them unless there were in a dance number or had close ups. It was extremely distracting to see Eriko dance by. There are possible three scenes that I think are just amazing for these girls.
One: Ice Skating. It was so amusing and LOVE to see everyone pretending to be ice skating! Wao could barely stay up on the ice! It was so funny to see her flail around! Mizu was cool and showing off her skills on ice :D Plus the babies in the back as ice skating couples X3 oh oh and Chigi, Asu, Kimitsu and one other baby I don't know making a snow man :D TOO CUTE.
Two: Christmas Chorus. I got the chills hearing all the girls sing a Christmas hymn in beautiful haunting church choir voices. Tacchin was in this, you could hear her beautiful crystal voice. Oh just the beauty!
Three: Reindeer Babies! Okay, this was so amusing right after the chorus there was this insane two second quick change. I really don't know how it was managed. Everyone is in their choir robes lights go out for two seconds and then.. there are different costumes!!!? Otokoyaku (inlcuding my Eriko~!) in plaid pants and satin shirts! Musumeyaku in santa hats! AND LORD OF THE DANCE MUSIC XD Asana Irumi got a beautiful dance solo :D and then then then! SUSSHI IN HAT WITH REINDEER HORNS. Oh and Cate... we cannot escape the brown suits! Susshi and several babies including Chigi were wearing reindeer boots and hants xD and then we had musumeyaku reindeer!! With alot of leg O_o; oh oh and SANTA BAN :D
Okay, I didn't mention any of this but what was also really cool was the time traveling itself. There was a some light play and confused Wao. Also they used fire... real fire ALOT. Wao with a lighter = hot. Experiments blowing up = love. Ban setting his house on fire...with real fire.... not so hot.

Really, despite how awesome this play was... the ending made me so incredibly sad! Wao and Hana dying in a burning house IS NOT COOL. *traumtized*

I *realllllly* liked this play. It was insanely good and had lots of twists and turns that really kept you on your feet. Also the premise is so unsual and I think executed really well. I would recomend it to the obvious Wao x Hana lovers, Mizu lovers, and 19th century inventor/time travel lovers.
Everyone should see Time Traveling Wao. XD
