When Sam Winchester proved himself to be a stubborn bastard, Lucifer was forced to acknowledge that his plan might have been a bit over the top. It was all well to feed a drop of demonic blood to the children who had the necessary compounds to be his (and Michael’s) vessels but as the months went by and Lucifer was still in his inferior, burning human… It occurred to him that perchance he should’ve been satisfied with one of the other chosen kids. But Pride had been his Sin, and he wanted his and Michael’s vessels to be blood brothers.
