The suit of pentacles is the suit of coins in some decks. Each suit of the tarot deck is analogous to a deck of the standard playing card deck: Pentacles/Coins are Diamonds, Wands are Clubs, Swords are Spades, Cups are Hearts. They're also related to different elements and seasons: Pentacles are Earth / Winter, Wands are Fire / Summer, Swords are Air / Spring and Cups are Water / Autumn.

There are many, MANY different types of tarot decks. http://www.tarot.com/tarot/decks/index.php has an overview of some of the variety you'd find in deck styles.

Some people make a distinction between psychic ability and magic. Tarot is believed to be a way to tap into the psychic ability of the card reader, rather than an attempt to contact spirits or whatever might care to answer.

The Seven of Cups is pretty innocuous, at least in the deck I use. The Sun generally represents a bright future, so that would also be safe.

"I want Tarot but without all the occult stuff" is a ridiculous request. Does this person not know where the Tarot comes from?

You could draw the 10 of cups. It has a rainbow and dancing happy children.
