I'm such a Slam Dunk and One Piece fan... I would like to see those in live-action form but I think they could easily go wrong in the adaptation. Especially in the eyes of the sensitive fanatic fans they have. With Shoujo mangas... I dunno... but I'd love to see a live-action BL manga LOL
Oh well, it doesn't really matter how they would make it or what changes they'd do, I'm sure it would still amuse me XDDD
Everything has the potential to go so wrong and it's true--if you REALLY love a manga, it is hard to live up to it XDXD It's actually funny because I was waiting for someone to bring up a BL manga XD I just keep thinking that since fandom really loves BL and it's such a popular genre why there isn't more of it. But perhaps these major talent agencies want their talents to maintain a 'pure' image and not get involved in those things...? Who knows XD
That was pretty much my take on Hana Kimi. I mean---I loved the manga to death and stuff, but I ended up not expecting certain things out of it and enjoyed the ride. I only had high expectations for Nakatsu and Toma filled them XD I can't imagine how I'd act though if I came in with super high expectations LOL
I'm not really expecting any hardcore-ish BL manga to be made into live action since this would certainly make an impact on the actors' image.... But I would love to see a light comedy BL, uhm like the Antique Bakery. I really like the Korean movie version but the ren-dorama was kinda bland to me.
I don't expect much when watching live action adaptation (especially Hollywood ones) since I know that it's very likely that they'd cut on some scenes and plot as they like. And besides, I'm not much of a critic and I could be easily amused.
I wonder how'd they make One Piece though... would Chopper be CG'd? XDDD
That's very true--any hardcore stuff would be tough. But I guess since the boys like to joke around with the fanservice and all, a comedy related one would be interesting. It was kinda like Nakao hehehe
Although there will probably be some types of mangas that I would be very sad if they were adapted poorly simply for the fact that that would be their version, unless somehow in the future they miraculously decide to remake it or something.
I have no clue. It seems like it'd be pretty difficult to make something grand like that into a live action--it's hard to imagine XD
My favourite anime is Kimi ga nozomu eien, so I'd like to see that one as a live action~♥ I think the story is extremly sad (u _ u;) As for the cast, I.. don't know XD;
There's a girl, Haruka, who falls in love with a boy and her best friend, even though she's in love with him too, arranges for them to meet and then date. But Haruka's involved in an accident and falls into coma for three years. During that time, her boyfriend and best friend build up a live together... and then Haruka awakens.
I'm really bad at explaining plots, but this is basically what it is about XD; It's a really heartbreaking story. (T T;)
Oh wow that does sound really sad ;_; Something that's beyond her control and stuff. And it's probably hard to break into whatever history they share together, huh? That would be heartbreaking ;_;
I remember seeing the name Kimi ni Todoke from the other Tokyograph article and so I decided to see if it was on Mangafox or Onemanga after Wikipedia-ing it and OMG I LOVE IT. XD I've only read up to Chapter 8, though, since that's all they have. D

Yamashita's image doesn't suit it I guess but when he was rumored for it I got a bit excited--just to see what he'd do with it XD Probably also because I tend to like watching his dramas XD I don't feel like watching someone like Sato Takeru or Mizushima Hiro or anything, but I think someone like Mukai Osamu or Eita would be cute XD Although come to think of it--Eita probably has grown beyond gakuen dramas at this point. I haven't seen much of Miura Haruma's work so I don't know if he could pull a Kazehaya...? He's in the right age range though. Ueda would be very cute as Kazehaya. After watching Konkatsu! I was like awww Ueda <3 hehehe Tanimura Mitsuki may be able to pull off the long hair! Or maybe it's because I'd like to see her in something XD

Kazehaya is so cute! X3 I seriously wish there were more shoujo manga hero's like him. Or at least, now I do, now that I've read that manga. XD I'm totally buying it when the first volume comes out, seriously. :]
It would have been interesting to see Yamapi as Kazehaya, but I guess I kind of know him more as the serious/stoic kind of character, now. Even with roles like Akira and Kenken. XD;; Mukai Osamu would be interesting. Oh! Yuki Jutta (who played Kiba!) would be adorable!!! OMG I CAN TOTALLY IMAGINE HIM AS KAZEHAYA! Eita would be cute too, but yeah, I think he's kind of past those roles. X3 I was thinking about Miura Haruma, but idk. It doesn't seem like he'd be right in the role. Ueda a la Konkatsu! would be totally adorable, though. XD Hahah, yeah, I really like her, and I can just imagine her in that role. XP

wow! i couldn't imagine one piece in live action hahahah i really loved that manga but somewhere along the way (around the time when they were in the heaven like place with the angels i stopped reading and haven't taken it up again since). anyway it would probably be too long and would take really good special effects to make it convincing. but hey it wouldn't hurt to see zorro in the flesh :D
i'd love to see kimi ni todoke. for me, neither matsujun nor yamapi seemed fit for the lead. at first i was thinking of teppei in the lead role but then it hit me! yes! toma would be perfect as the ever smiling, super nice, good guy kazehaya. aragaki's looks are perfect for sawako but i wouldn't mind it too much if they put in someone more seasoned at acting. althoughi think she's getting better in smile.
I definitely agree. If it becomes a live action it needs to be done well and somehow I think that it wouldn't be if it were ever attempted XD
Yeah Toma would be really good. I wouldn't object at a total newcomer also in the role...I had such a crush on the character XD And I agree--someone pretty good at acting should be her. But yeah i think she's adorable in Smile <3
