You're so hardworking! I don't think I ever started an assignment a month before it was due. It's always 1 or 2 weeks before :P
With regards to referencing, it becomes easier as you practice. You have to find out what style of referencing they want first or if they don't specify, then you can probably choose your own. The program Endnote is really good for referencing. You don't have to do much, just enter your references and then it formats it for you depending on the style you want it to be.
