The good kind of ow but stil ow. That instalment certainly packed an emotional punch. Oh dear Aya, what now?

I just love the depth with which you're writing the characters - I mean, come ON!!! I'm actually interested in Crawford's machinations, and why they involve Aya, and Aya, twisted and sick puppy that he is, one can only wonder at the relationship he had with the man in th past. How did he come to work for them? How did he get so dark? And what will happen with Weiss? Yohji is forging blindly ahead, and really has no idea in the world what he's getting himself into. Ken's suspicious, as well he should be. I would love to see more of this, because I think Ken is very shrewd - he sees a lot more than he lets on, and I think he's much smarter than he's letting on in this story. Omi, always trying to keep the peace, but at what cost?

Wow. You really *are* a writer, aren't you ? Congratulations, with this single chapter you have surpassed even the best fanfiction I've read, and there's been some. Do you do this *for real*, i.e., write fiction for a living ? Can't believe it's a hobby.

I'm really pleased that you're enjoying it, and thanks so much for the compliment! I do not write fiction for a living. I am an editor and a writer, but nobody's ever paid me for fiction. Getting a novel sold is a bloody business and I don't really have the heart for it.

wow! this chapter is all sorts of messed up - i was hating crawford all the way until he kissed aya and said he wished there was another way, but then of course right away i wondered if he was lying ...

The Aya/Crawford interchange is especially ugly, isn't it? I'm really pleased that it's unclear who means what, but that anybody cares to find out. I'm working on a prequel that will shine some light on their relationship - hope that doesn't ruin it.
