I've been horrible about commenting because I read the chapters after being notified by MediaMiner and I don't like their email system; I keep meaning to come over here to tell you.
Your Yohji/Aya stories keep me going. I love them. You're Joking has been seriously important to me; it kind of keeps me going when I'm down. I get depressed and RL throws shit at me, but, hey, Aya is ALWAYS more depressed and ALWAYS getting damaged in some way or another, and can't manage a working relationship any better than I can. It fucking cheers me up, though I'm sometimes jealous Aya gets to wreak havoc with a katana to make himself feel better.
You write the best Yohji and Aya ever, so clueless and so meant for each other. Your Ken kicks butt. Thank you for your stories, and for archiving them on MM where people like me, who often get lost on the way to LJ, can be reminded to read them. Please don't stop. I love you, dude.

I'm so glad this story helps! Aya really is more depressed than just about anybody, and his relationship skills are truly piss-poor. It's kind of breathtaking. I sometimes think a big sword would help, too, but, you know -- it's always something.
I'm interested to hear that you're reading stuff on MediaMiner; I sometimes wonder about MM. I pretty much only post Joking chapters there now, so there are some stories on LJ that aren't on MM.
This is a seriously awesome (and awesomely fucked-up) Yohji and Aya you've got. I always love the way you write them, but there's a special brand of dysfunctional genius in them here. That said, though, I have to tell you that Ken? Ken is brilliant. Your Ken is fantastic; I don't think I've ever read a Ken I've liked this much before.
I like Ken. It surprised me, but there it was. Also -- dysfunctional genius -- music to my ears! They are as fucked up as I can manage. Any more fucked up, and the would thing would veer out of control.
I seem to be writing the Ken-haters' Ken. Go figure. I will probably use Ken more in something, but Aya and Yoji will always come first. Romantic obsession and all.
The next chapter will be the last -- unless it has to be split in two. I went back and tinkered with it, and I'm still tinkering, and I don't know. It may be too much for one chapter. We'll see. Two at the very most, though. Then the plan is to finish the damned prequel. I'm already writing another story arc in this universe, because apparently I can't stop.

I like Ken. There wouldn't be a lot of hope in this story if it weren't for Ken. I think of him as the third way.
