Buyer's Remorse

I was treated to Customer Loyalty Rewarding at Indigo Eaton today. To a greater tune than anticipated, and I feel bad. I feel as though I've taken advantage of the customer retention policies of an already strapped store.

I accidentally left a store with a book once - I'd tucked it under my arm and completely forgot about it. When I realized, I went back to the store and paid for it. Personally, I think unintentional stealing is still stealing.

However! Your situation seems different in that they made an error at the cash - it's not like you snuck it out (whether by accident on purpose). If it's a hassle to go back, I dunno if I would put myself out over their mistake. Also, I was shopping at a mom and pop store. I could give a flying fuck about Indigo. If I was in that situation for almost any store I would go back EXCEPT Indigo.

Those are all my personal feelings though. If you feel bad about it, just go back and pay for it. Isn't it better to have a clear conscience than save $10? But if you will be over it soon, well... there are worse things in life.
