summary: Junsu has a boyfriend. And he has Yoochun
"What's this?" Junsu blinked. Yoochun held out the the small box and wished that his hands weren't trembling hard enough for anyone to see.
"It's for you," he said. "Just take it already."
It was cold, the bench they sat on was cold, the whole Thomas the Tank Engine ride was fucking freezing but that's where Junsu wanted to sit so that's where they sat.
Junsu took the box out of his hand and looked at it. "I thought we said Valentine's Day sucks monkey balls and we weren't going to do presents? Now I don't have anything for you. You're such an asshole."
"Actually you were the one who said Valentine's Day sucks monkey balls, not me."
Junsu frowned. "No, this totally sucks. You can't just give me a present without me giving you something back and you know I suck at buying presents-"
"Are you going to open it any time soon? Before the receipt expires, please."
"Fine," Junsu said and clicked the box open. And then it was quiet.
"Say something," Yoochun said. "It's ugly isn't it? Well I don't care, you're still going to wear it every day until you die."
"It's gorgeous," Junsu finally spoke up. "Why are you giving this to me though, you should be wearing it," Junsu said as he carefully picked up the silver necklace. Hanging from it was a small silver camera pendant. The lens was a crystal.
"I saw it in the store and I wanted you to have it. In my head there's a whole deep explanation but I'm not going to say it out loud so just put it on."
"Is the whole deep explanation that you love me?" Junsu smiled warmly and gave Yoochun the necklace, baring his neck.
"That's part of it," Yoochun said softly as he helped his boyfriend put the necklace on. The little silver camera pendant hung between his collarbones.
"Thanks," Junsu said and pressed a kiss on his cheek. "I threw the other one away a while ago, you know that right?"
"I know," Yoochun said. "This has nothing to do with Taegoon, okay? This is my present for you and that's it."
"Thank you."
"Hello? Sirs, can I go next?"
They looked up and saw that there had formed a small queue of children next to the children's ride they sat in.
"That'll cost you all a dollar," Junsu joked before getting out and patting one of the kids on the head. Yoochun followed him and they left the tiny playground that Junsu had spotted in a side street half an hour ago.
They ended up back on a busy street. It was Saturday, February 14th, the day after Friday the 13th which for some reason had made Yoochun nervous. A year ago, the day before Valentine's day was the first time they had had sex and that ended in a small disaster.
"So what should I get you?" Junsu asked, fingering the necklace around his neck.
"I don't know, kisses and hugs I guess," Yoochun shrugged.
"Oh well I think I can do a little bit more than that," Junsu grinned.
"Later," Yoochun said. "Now we have to do what we actually came here for in the first place.
"Oh right," Junsu said and looked away. "You know, maybe we should wait with that. I mean it's only February and we have until May so-"
"You're not backing out on me," Yoochun said and grabbed his boyfriend's hand. "We've been talking about this since the beginning of this school year. You can always pull back your application if you change your mind."
"But I can still apply till may-"
"You don't want to be one of the last people to apply."
"What if I don't get in?"
Yoochun looked at him as if he was crazy. "Your parents are rich as fuck."
Junsu frowned all the way to the post office and when they finally got there he said:"What if I said I forgot the application forms at home?"
"Then you'd be lying. I saw them in your bag a minute ago."
"Well what if I said I'm not going to post them and there is nothing you can do about it?"
"Junsu."
"What."
"We can do this the nice way or we can do this the not so nice way," Yoochun said and put his hand out. "Give me the forms."
"...You're not the boss of me."
Yoochun sighed loudly. Was this really happening right in front of the post office? There were people around. A lot of people.
"I'll love you more if you just hand it over," Yoochun tried.
"Liar, you can't possibly love me more," Junsu grinned and stood with his back flat against the wall, protecting his backpack.
"Fine, don't apply. We'll just go to different schools, right? What's the worst thing that can happen?" Yoochun frowned at his boyfriend. "Other than that we'll meet tons of new people and see each other once a week, I mean."
"I don't want to separate schools but what if I don't get in anyway?"
"You have to at least try. You know how small the chance is for me to just get an interview?"
"Your parents have money too," Junsu said. "And you'll get in anyway. Your pictures are perfect and who wouldn't be pleasantly surprised to open up a portfolio and see me naked all up in there?"
"You're so cute," Yoochun said as he rolled his eyes and Junsu gave him a playful shove against his shoulder.
"Fine," he said. "We'll post the application."
"Yay, now let's get in there. It's freezing." Yoochun grabbed Junsu's arm and pulled him into the post office with him.
Junsu pulled a big brown envelope out of his bag and looked at it. "If I don't get in I'm going to blame you."
"Will you thank me if you do get it?"
Junsu lifted his head to look him in the eye. "Yeah."
"Good," Yoochun smiled. They stood in front of the big mail box that sent letters within town and Junsu held the envelope up. "Together?" he breathed out.
Yoochun nodded and put his hand over Junsu's. They dropped it into the mailbox. "One day you'll write the stories behind my pictures right?" Yoochun asked, stroking the back of Junsu's hand with his thumb.
"Oh my god," Junsu gasped.
"What?"
"Did I put stamps on it? I didn't put stamps on it. We didn't put stamps on it!"
