Well, the holidays with the ex's family weren't so bad. We actually had a pretty good time. There wasn't as much awkwardness as I expected and they treated me as they always have...like part of the family. We opened gifts around 11AM, while drinking much needed coffee. Here's my two cents:

Keep Looking. I've had 2 friends with Kia's and they were not happy with them at all. I wouldn't own a GM car (the Grand Am) if it was given to me...every GM I've ever had has left me stranded by the side of the road at one point in time or the other. And, I'd recommend the Infiniti if it didn't have so many miles. Infiniti is made by Nissan, and I've had 3 Nissans. I probably wouldn't own anything else. Mitsubishi is good, too.

For me, it was kinda between the infiniti and the grand am. I heard similar stories to yours on the Kia. Now hearing your story on the grand am, I'll look at the infiniti...I love Nissan cars (what I have now) but like you said, 100000 miles is when you start worrying what needs to be replaced? I can keep looking but there's not much out there and I need help soon! Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, we talked again today and he's feeling better about us co-habitating so he's pulling back on the leaving next month thing. He said today as long as we're not horribly awkward living together, he'll stay (ultimatum sounding...yes) but if it keeps him in the house so I don't have to give my car...I can sacrifice a bit for awhile.

No, but I know the one you're referring to...I saw it at Bed, Bath and Beyond and that's actually the one I wanted but I got a bland one.
