So finally getting around to watching Doctor Who series 5 and 6 and I just gotta say I am only watching it for River Song. I really hate 11, he's so annoying and ugly, I miss 9 and 10. But gosh how I missed Alex Kingston since ER. Which I need to rewatch too. And even though I know the first half season finale secret, lol, I'm still going a crack ( Read more... )

I quit 5th and 6th season of DW after first five episodes. I adore Eleven, I find him really entertaining and Rory was amazing, but I think I lost the "connection" with DW.
I've never cared about River, so she's not a reason for me to watch really. But I guess I'll watch some episodes if there will be any cool guest stars. Like Mark Sheppard in 6.01 and 6.02. His character very quickly became one of my favourites in Whoverse *lol*

Hm, I never really shipped anybody in DW. I was never able to ship Doctors with their Companions.

Yeah, this just seems like a whole new DW show, like it's not the Doctor but some other Gallifreyan going around the galaxy and space and time.

No, it's not really because of that. I started losing connection with the show earlier, even before Eleven. Ten/Rose totally turned me off. I don't like her and as I said I'm not into Doctors/Companions so I didn't really like a lot of episodes and moments then and I guess I started to lose interest...
Right now two of my favourite Doctors are from classic!Who.

9 was my first Doctor, love him so much, but 10 is all amazing. I think it's cuz RTD isn't doing DW anymore and it's that annoying 5th Doctor actor guy doing the series now.

Oh I know, lol, I read spoilers. I've done glances at the series but haven't actually watched it but I've downloaded all of the 11th Doctor's episodes and am gunna watch them. But yeah I was hoping that was who she was. Now I just wanna know who those young girls are, unless they are her.

Yep, they are her. If you remember she has Time Lord DNA because Rory and Amy conceived her on the Tardis. Now, they wanted to use her as a weapon.
