"Afternoon off!" Bradley crowed, excitedly. "God, I love thunderstorms!"

"Yeah, they're brilliant," Colin said, voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Aw, come on Cols," Bradley wheedled. "It's fun. Unless..."

"Unless what?" Colin asked, looking at him.

"You're not scared of a little thunder, are you?"

"Scared? Don't be stupid, Bradley," Colin muttered. "It's just... I was looking forward to today's shoot, and now we have to spend the afternoon holed up inside, bored out of our skulls. I hate feeling locked in."

"Hmm," Bradley said, looking at him, considering. "You know... it's just thunder. No lightning. The only reason we've had to stop filming is because it's supposed to be summer."

"Bradley, I've already told you I'm not scared of--"

"That's not what I meant," Bradley interrupted, hurriedly. "All I meant is that we can still go outside. We might get a bit wet, sure, but so long as we've not got our costumes on..."

"Are you actually certifiable?" Colin asked, incredulously. "Why on earth would we go outside?"

"You've never been out in a thunderstorm, have you?" Bradley asked, suddenly grinning like an absolute madman. "Oh, that is it. Right, get a tee shirt and some loose pants on."

"What? Why?" Colin asked, already stripping himself of his clothes and reaching towards his wardrobe. They both did their best not to notice Bradley swallowing and looking away.

"Because, Cols, I'm going to introduce you to the wonder of being outside in the middle of a thunderstorm," Bradley said, childish delight evident in everything from his tone to the set of his shoulders. "It's brilliant, I promise. One day, I'm going to do it naked. Just stand in the middle of a field, absolutely starkers, and let the rain just batter me. But today... we'll just run around a bit, yeah? Maybe borrow the swords, or - actually, no, swords wouldn't be a good idea, just in case we actually get some lightning. Well, whatever. We'll get a ball or something. It's just... there's nothing better than standing out in the rain, letting it soak you. Trust me, Cols."

"I do," Colin said, now fully changed. "Aren't you going to change your clothes, too?"

"Nah, I'm good," Bradley said. His pants were loose anyway - always the best bet if he was going to spend time around Colin - and he had a tee shirt on beneath his hoodie. He stripped the hoodie off, quickly. "So... wanna play footie or something whilst we're out there?"

"Not really," Colin said. "But... you said it feels good just to sit and enjoy it, right? We'll do that. Beats being cooped up inside all afternoon."

"Yeah," Bradley said, already leading them outside.

It was, Colin had to admit, pretty damn glorious to stand outside, listening to the thunder and feeling the heaviness in the air, even as he was soaked through.

"Feels brilliant, right?" Bradley asked him, grinning.

"Yeah," Colin agreed, grinning back at him. "I... I feel like I could do anything right now."

"Yeah, me too," Bradley said, and Colin couldn't help swallowing at the way Bradley's eyes dropped to his lips.

"You should just... do it," Colin said, just loud enough for them both to hear. "Out here, right now... we could do whatever we wanted, give in to every impulse, or just..."

"I know," Bradley said, and they were looking at each other, completely open in a way they hadn't been since they'd met, sure that everything they wanted could be attributed to a freak occurrence of the weather. "It's like... this!"

And suddenly, Bradley was running around, arms out-stretched and making plane noises. Colin couldn't stop himself from laughing.

"That's your impulse?"

"Yeah, you should join in, Cols," Bradley said, grinning at him. "Feel what you want to do, doesn't matter how childish, and just... do it."

"Yeah, but I'm not sure snogging you would go down too well," Colin muttered, sure that the thunder would drown him out.

"Snogging? Well, just go and find someone, then! If that's what you wanna do, do it," Bradley said, suddenly still and somewhat awkward.

"Bradley," Colin started, finally fed up of the dance they'd been playing for years. At the rate they were going, Bradley would never realise that Colin wanted it too, and sometimes you had to stop waiting for the other person to make a move. "How much of what I just said did you get?"

"Um, only that you want to snog someone. Never knew thunder could make someone horny," Bradley tried a laugh.

"Thunder doesn't make me horny, Bradley," Colin said, giving in to his impulses. "You said we should give in, right? Just... do whatever we want?"

"Yeah, s-"

Colin kissed him. It took a bit of effort - lunging at someone who was wet was apparently a bad idea - but then Colin had his hands either side of Bradley's face, and Bradley's arms around his back, and they were pressed together, and it didn't take much at all to convince Colin that this was the perfect thing to do, but Bradley's tongue hesitantly touching his own was definitely a big indicator, and if it weren't for the fact that they were outside, well... there would definitely be some nakedness happening right now.

"Colin, Cols, god yeah, what ab- yeah, hang on," Bradley pulled back, stilling his hips and pushing Colin's groin away from his own. "Colin, we need to... talk about this, yeah? It's not... I'm not having this if it's just because of the thunder, and giving in to impulses, and--"

"Okay, then we'll just have to get out of the thunder. And, you know, out of our clothes," Colin winked at Bradley as sexily as he could. "And then we can fuck like bunnies, collapse for a bit, then start all over again. As for the talking - I reckon I'd just tell you I've wanted to blow you since about thirty seconds into our first audition together, and you'll tell me you've wanted to blow me since half way through season one, and we'll both say we're idiots before getting back to the fucking, yeah?"

"Er... I think that probably covers everything. Since our audition?" Bradley asked, a little incredulously.

"Yeah," Colin replied, simply, because there wasn't really a whole lot he could add to that. Then he kissed Bradley again, because he could, and they were in a thunderstorm, and everything just felt... perfect.

*

"You know, part of our 'talk' was wrong," Bradley said, sated, a few hours later. Colin's head was on his shoulder, so Bradley let himself play with his hair. "I've actually wanted to blow you since before we came to France... And you forgot something."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, you forgot the part where I tell you I'm sort of head over heels for you," Bradley said, a little uncertain. Colin suddenly looked up at him, smiling.

"Yeah, well, I also forgot the part where I tell you I'm definitely head over heels for you, too," Colin told him, beaming, before kissing him again.
