It makes it more interesting - I couldn't get a pidgey on route one, because I didn't have pokéballs on my first encounter, so I used a spearow, which I never freaking use. Also, using a drowsee right now, and I never knew that digletts were such bros. It mixes up your team! But made Brock an absolute bitch.

The only problem is if you kill all your water types before you get to Cinnabar, or strength before E4, because the rules say you can't catch even for a HM slave, so you lose the game .___. *keeps Squirtle alive*
