Still, that would be a really weird relationship. ALTHOUGH, IT IS HELM/NAVIGATION. Which, on principle, I support wholeheartedly. But it's also First Officer/Navigation. Which worries me deeply.

I like that imagining because it means Helm/Navigation is logical and that supports my ship.

I can understand TOSverse Spock/Chekov, because Chekov has a big sciencey crush and is generally a man whore. But XIverse is just... yeah. Spock would snap him like a twig.
