Mm, I like this. Did you write it yourself? For some reason I was talking about writing memoirs with someone, and when I said I probably never would, and they asked me why, my reply was something like what you've written. Because there isn't much of a story in self-pacification, not from the outside, anyway.
I wonder why some people have such a hard time keeping secrets. Perhaps they secretly want everyone to know, even though they claim agony when people find out?
