Having watched Rocky on DVD a couple nights ago, I was prepared to see the character and the franchise go back to basics, and I'm pleased to report that's what happened.

This is a series that probably should've ended after Rocky II, but definitely should've ended after Rocky IV. Instead, piss-poor sequels left a lot of people wondering...did

It got two other Oscars as well. Nominated 10 times.
