it's not kennel cough that alex has after all. it's pneumonia. they aren't completely sure if alex will live. he's been going to the vet every day, and he's going back tomorrow. we gave him a breathing treatment today (sometimes it's useful to be asthmatic) and fed him this veterinary pediasure through a syringe. eric and i are sleeping in my room

Vets are NEVER sure if an animal will live. S'because the science they studied in school tells them to live by the facts and the numbers and the percentages. Honestly, believing he'll be alive and well the next morning does helluva lot more than saying there's such-and-such an expectancy of failure.

But, I give my best-est-est wishes to Alex (as well as a poke on the nose if you can manage it), I wave in your face, and I say hi/give hugs to Erk.
