My favorite Dr. Seuss book ruined by this hastily produced cartoon thing. The shame of it is that Friz Freleng and Ted Geisel ( Dr. Seuss himself ) were involved with it.
The opening number sounds like an ode to grickle grass!
One thing I like though. They kept a line from the original book: "I hear things are just as bad up in Lake Erie"
That line has been removed from the current version of the book.

I loved that as a kid. Of course, now it just brings to mind Al Gore going up against Dick Cheney.
