Hmmm that sounds like a good time; their line-up last year looked pretty sweet. Might have to look into it with the bear...

yeah, it's pretty much a guaranteed good time minus parking and the heat. but even then...

and it's also becoming a bit of a bear event... so much eye candy...

That's definitely true. The day Madonna and the Scissor Sisters played in 2006 it was like Lazy Bear Coachella.

I skipped last year but the two years before that I camped. The idea of camping again makes me feel dead inside. I really need to find another option if I go in 2008. Woofy dudes renting a house with a pool sounds very good. Although I might not wear any clothes and my junk would get sunburned.

The Breeders are awesome live. I saw them with Nirvana and then again at Lollapalooza 1994.

I look at the campgrounds and I think "wow - what a great idea if I were 19 and didn't hate people or dirt or dirty people..." hehe

I got to see The Breeders play two songs at Lollapalooza... someone threw a bottle at Kim or Kelly and she said "fuck this" and they walked off the stage.

So hear that Coachella - no fucking bottles this year!

I don't mind dirt or dirty people (or big smelly hairy men-mmm) but I do mind waking up at 8 in the morning only to discover that I'm literally baking in my tent. And then I'd go to the shower truck and see some of the foulest things in the history of foul things in there. I'd take a shower only to start sweating again by the time I got back to my tent. It's rad to get there early and see the lights and watch the movie they play for campers on the big, inflatable screen (Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory in 2005 and the Coachella movie in 2006), but it's not worth feeling like you're going to die of heat exhaustion or dehydration. There's no relief all day until it gets dark. Bah. This year I will find someone to rent a place or get a hotel with or find someone who will let me crash with them. Air conditioning is way awesome.

You were there too?!? Dude, small world. We should've met. But then again, I was so baked I probably wouldn't have remembered you. LOL

If Rage Against the Machine is going to be playing, then I will be there in a heartbeat.

Bitch, I know that they were there last year...and we would have gone if we didn't have a wedding to go to...I'm just sayin that this year, if they are there, there will be no excuses as to why I will miss them.

I've always wanted to go. And with The Breeders I'm already tempted to book a flight. When do they announce the line up?

They probably won't announce the full line-up until closer to Feb/March... but the rumors and confirmations have already started to fly...

Hmm. I just had a wee look and some of the rumours are interesting - Bowie, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, The Verve, Aphex twin. It's the early 90s all over again! And that's enough to make me interested.
