Who me? Naw, I'm pretty okay at it... can beat Hard but Expert is nuts... and the guy's review is spot on - the last few songs on GH3 on Hard are f'ing ridiculous...
Honey please... I have all four games, GH1/II/80s for PS2 and three guitars for the PS2. I have GH3 for the Wii and one (will buy a second when the damn things become available for purchase w/out buying the whole game) as well.
I am hopeless. I did gay it forward though and gave my extra guitar and gh80s to my padawan learner, intoutdoors.
The trick to getting better is to actually play the harder levels... So if you're halfway down medium and hitting a wall, go up to Hard and play the first few songs... They'll F you up but when you go back to Medium the Med songs will seem easier.
Or... go back to Easy and try to do the songs with a perfect...
I'll also take a break for a week and then go back. I've found that my brain will "think outside of the gh box" if that makes sense and I'll just find new ways of making songs work.
GH1: Excellent song selection but really tough to play - hammer ons/offs are super hard. GH2: Decent song selection and a LOT easier to play - hammer ons/offs are actually doable. GH3: Good song selection and super easy hammer ons/offs.
I have to say, I still go back to GH1 to play some of those songs - More Than a Feelin'!
Wow, maybe if I play that video in Practice mode, I can slow it down enough to understand it all. ;-) Pretty funny stuff, and I agree that GH3 seems way harder than the older ones.

As cocky as I was on Easy, I'm sucking wind on Medium. I can totally relate to what he's saying.
Were GH 1 & 2 really that much better?

That's why I get pwned! by "One" and "Knights of Cydonia" - if you can't strum it's just wicked hard to beat.
