We need shows like this in the USA. I did another search on YouTube under "japanese Jokes" and found some more funny shit. I thought the poor guy getting gummed by grandpa was going to throw up.

Is the premise supposed to be that they are in a Library and are not supposed to make any noise? If they do, is there a penalty? They rest I get, the whole silence thing escaped my grasp though.

OMG!
I love Japanese game shows!
I think we could do them here, just have to have an Air-TIGHT legal document for the "contestants"...hell, I'd do SEVERAL of these games!
The poor guy getting gummed actually does sound like he is tossing his lunch, and I've found some more vids where people in the US are re-creating some of these games. I found one of college students from Japan doing "Silent Library" and it was hilarious!
So...who is up for some "Takeshi's Castle" and maybe some "Silent Library" with punishments for not staying quiet? *EG*
