When Spring Awakening let out on Thursday night Drew and I met up with Jeff. We headed to for some food at a local Italian spot Drew knew of. He was such a shy d/l bear when he lived here years back. Now it seems like he's a cog in the East Coast bear wheel o' life! Hehe, funny how small the world is sometimes.

I know him--and I don't know anyone!

He used to tell me that no one in San Diego would give him the time of day. I never believed him.

Tell him Christian in San Francisco says "hey."

That is, if he remembers me. It has been about five years...

Seems like we had generally the same reaction to YF. The set was the real star, particularly the lab. Only a few of the songs truly stood out, "Roll In Ze Hay" being one for sure. And Mz. Mullally, though entertaining, didn't really have a complete fix on her character. I was certainly happy to see her. Too bad you didn't get to see Roger Bart, as he was quite excellent at making Frankenstein his own. Did you get to see Andrea Martin? She wasn't onstage when we saw a matinee in Seattle, but the young lady filling in for her did make a decent Frau Blucher.

Yeah, I wish Roger would have been back to 100% and able to perform. His understudy did a decent job. Yes, we did get to see Andrea Martin and she was a highlight - very funny as the Frau.
