Kidz theze dayz - It's a sickness

Thanks guys for the well wishes earlier today. After I got done getting Brittany out of trouble on E! I realized it was Wednesday and (in theory) my cleaning lady was supposed to come by today. So, I figured I'd better get out of the house even with my head full of fuzz and my overall feeling of crapiness. The bears were all gonna go see Pirates ( Read more... )

You are completely correct about MTV.. That one show, SWEET 16, is just mindboggling in how spolied those kids are. It is hard for me to believe that the station will air that show and then do a special about Bono asking for third world relief. And if I ever talked to my parents like those kids ?? Anyway, MTV used to be about commentary, real news [remember Tabitha interviewing President Bush and Clinton - who of their "VJ's" could do that today?], and looking at other cultures. Just wanted to say thanks for speaking the truth!

You are 100% right about MTV...we are the generation that brought MTV to it's pinacle and now it's shit. They've abandoned us when we used to care and be their biggest supporters. It's not cause we're old, it's cuz they lost their way.

To quote South Park in description of MTV: "Stupid spoiled whore!"

Sadly, MTV2 is going down that same path quickly, if it's not already there!

And, since I didn't get well-wishing e-hugs in earlier ... H-U-G-S! Now get well!

It's not because you're old or ill, you're right. MTV used to be a cause for good. But with the advent of reality tv it's brought the advent of aspirational tv. Kids! You can be famous too! So people don't care about causes when they can care about being famous or Britney's latest hairshave. It's pretty frightening. And depressing. Hope you're feeling better.

About those old people, I once heard someone say, "Never trust anyone over thirty!"

And to this day, I never do.
