("What did you do this time?! That is not just a scratch!")
Dennis has never met a dare he wouldn't take, even the stupid ones. On the upside this means everyone in his year has gotten bored of daring him to do things and no longer bother -- Dennis gets teased much less than people who've only met him for a couple of minutes expect -- but on the downside this means he's spent almost twelve times as long as the average pupil at Hogwarts in the Hospital Wing.
("You really are the most accident prone boy...!")
This isn't a downside from Dennis's point of view, of course. The beds are comfortable, it gives him time to get his work or reading done, and he gets to hear about lots of new and interesting medicines and often experience their usage first hand. Plus eventually pretty much everyone comes through the Hospital Wing so he gets to meet new people and learn new and interesting ways things can be cursed, hexed or generally blown up.
("It should be possible to think about things without having to try them out, Mister Creevey!")
Just don't ask Madame Pomfrey about him unless you've got a free evening and a bottle of firewhiskey.
