If people really want to put money into saving a house in Cleveland, it's a great thought that the house where Superman was created would be on the list, but there are about 1000 others in that same neighborhood that should be ahead of it on the list. The neighborhood was poor but dignified 80 years ago, now it is just poor. There is a small effort being made to convert some of the old industrial buildings into useful structures and the city has put a little money into maintaining the streets and attracting new businesses, but it's mainly full of buildings that are pushing 100 years and that haven't been cared for in at least 30 years. Just up the street are the Cultural Gardens, whose bridges and layouts were once one of the crown jewels of the city. Past them is University Circle. Just down the street in the other direction is one of the few parts of Lake Erie that is fully open to the public and worth visiting. Also, Christopher Reeve was a tool.

You can't say that and not follow up on it.

There's little I can say on the subject that hasn't been stated more eloquently already by Maddox. Suffice it to say that I would say things more civilly, but he pretty much gets to the meat of my point.
