Posting rather a lot today, but i think this is important-ish...

I'm so incredibly WELL right now. Mentally great.

Let's see -
I am not sad, down, unhappy. I am not feeling unreasonably hopeless. I can concentrate well enough to read certain books (the print is important, weird as that sounds). I've had a nearly-normal amount of energy the past few ( Read more... )

Feeling well again is something to be very proud of.

It doesn't matter how fragile things feel, you've managed to come this far. Even if you do at some point end up back where you started, you know that you can do it. Hopefully that will never happen though

Josie this is so so awesome. I was unwell for a very longtime and couldn't make head nor tail of it. I came off the pill (contraceptive) because I was adament it was making my hair thin. Sort of 6 months after that I started feeling better. Everything I was feeling before (wanting to hurt myself, the sadness) kind of went away and I felt like I was my 15 year old self again (before I went on the pill) I felt like me again and realised how much of a Zombie and how much depression I was feeling since going on it (like all through my college years). My doctor thinks it's rubbish that the pill could've caused all that but y'know when you just KNOW something about your body, like intuition or something. Well, I know that it WAS the pill that did all that to me. I guess I'm taking that long way of saying I know what you mean when you say you don't appreciate being truely mentally well until you've been unwell and even though you say you don't want to tempt fate I say enjoy it..because this enjoyment and positive thoughts can only breed more ( ... )

This is great, but you're right, just take things slowly and look after yourself. I meant to comment on one of your other posts where you had said something similar, how well you are coping with the stress and how you wouldn't have previously. I think it's important to know that you *can* cope, but also that you are prone to getting overwhelmed and so allow yourself a bit of extra time and rest when things are stressful.

*hug*
