Hey, LaMaMa's doing a dark, edgy Alice in Wonderland. How original. Casting Alice with a 60 year old actress is an interesting twist, though, I have to say.

There was a sale on flavored-tuna-and-crackers at the grocery store, so I picked some up for lunches. Had one for lunch today. Am now starving

The wonderful thing about the dark and edgy bits in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass is that they sneak up on you through the nonsense and the whimsy. If you make the whole thing dark and edgy, you actually make it less subversive. I know you know that, but I have to vent about it sometimes.

The crazy tactic I'm going to take with Alice and You is to NOT make it extra dark and edgy.

We had a 65 year old Peter Pan at Indiana Rep in 1988. Horrid and stupid and just confused everyone.

Reading the synopsis of the play made me want to punch everyone involved.
