Hey ho, the wind and the rain.

Yeah, so THAT happened.

Saturday did two shows of 12th Night. Basically went well, although Aldo Pisano (our Sir Toby) dropped his pants in one scene- was never directed to do so, but apparently thinks playing a drunk gives him license to do whatever he wants.

Sorry I missed this one, dude. I did get the email about the next one. Assuming family drama's are in check, I'll hit it but good! :D

and ate an apple onstage during the Sir Topas scene

I should have taken that apple from his smarmy little hands and tossed it into the Hudson, then grabbed his Keebler Elfen feet and thrown him in after it.
That jerk!

Wow, I'm really sorry you and everyone else had to put up with that. Like I said after Saturday evening's performance, that guy had all of Sir Toby's repulsive qualities without any of the charm. There should be a web site like http://www.dontdatehimgirl.com for actors.

But really, the bicycle was the last straw.

Actually the way he sneered at me when I told him not to drop trou, as this was a public park and we might get our permit revoked--the way he dismissed me, because I'm just a woman--that was the last straw. I immediately pulled Elizabeth aside and said "call Eric and see if he can do the 5:00 show."

The bicycle just gave me license to rip into him--I was nice enough giving him the drop trou note, but much firmer and more authoritarian when I yelled at him about the bike. That was when he threatened not to go on for the second show.

I'm glad to hear you liked Stardust. It was gorgeous. I had the novel but sold it because it was too simple for what I've come to expect from Neil Gaiman. It made a goodgood movie, though.
