I'm asleep damn it! handsomejack August 16 2008, 13:54:44 UTC
Jack was asleep.

This sometimes happened after a night of vigorous sex, even if they had ended up asleep well before midnight and it was now ... later than that.

He was asleep, naked and feeling deliciously lazy, up to the point where he heard Ianto's strange ramblings.

" 'Cause you asked me to." Jack slurred into the pillow he was currently hugging. Damn it where were the covers??

Not anymore you're not. king_coffee August 16 2008, 14:00:36 UTC
Ianto had them all.

"I did what?" He asked as he shifted closer to the edge of the bed. Sure, they'd flirted a couple of times when they'd passed each other but...

...well he'd never slept with a man before.

He checked under the covers just in case and judjing from how messy he was... yes they'd had sex.

[ooc: I figure he's got at least a couple of scars as a result of working for Torchwood/ the battle and they'll be gone.]

I HATE mornings like this... handsomejack August 16 2008, 14:05:01 UTC
This was another reason Jack wasn't big on sleeping. He could be foggy as hell when he woke up, unless you fired off an air raid siren at him, then he could move pretty damn quick.

Flopping a hand around he groped for covers and tugged. Not that he minded being butt ass naked in Ianto's bed but it was a wee chilly and you know ... things had kinda dried cool from the night before?

"Stop playing silly buggers, Ianto."

Yank, yank!

You think mine's any better? king_coffee August 16 2008, 14:09:29 UTC
Jack. That was it, that was the man from across the hallway's name.

The yanking of the covers was unexpected and when Ianto let them go, considering he was precariously close to the edge of the bed anyway, the momentum made him tumble off the bed with a yelp of surprise and pain.

...oh god the man from across the hall was in his bed and stealing his covers.

Yeah well....I mean....no coffee for me either! handsomejack August 16 2008, 14:20:35 UTC
...

That. Was not normal.

Covers now wrapped around his waist, Jack inch wormed across the bed till he could hang over the side and peer down at Ianto. Who was usually a hell of a lot more graceful than to fall out of bed.

Except now he could see the naked Ianto and while Jack was always good with a ogling a naked Ianto, there was something amiss with the body on the floor. Jack knew every inch of Ianto Jones and his instincts were telling him something was wrong about the man on the floor.

"Who are you?" Shades of the Captain sneaking into his tone.

Oh I'm sure you'll live. king_coffee August 16 2008, 14:27:55 UTC
Ianto gulped. The guy in his bed who had stolen all of his covers sounded a little bit scary.

"Uh, Ianto? I live across the hallway from you... you're actually in my room."

Had the man gone to bed with him thinking he was someone else?

He shifted a little to try and cover himself.

Well D'uh handsomejack August 16 2008, 14:34:35 UTC
It has been established that Jack doesn't like it when people fuck with his team right?

A large hand whipped out and while he wouldn't leave bruises, it was probably a bit rough as he pulled Ianto back from covering himself, frowning darkly as he did so.

...

No scars.

That was it, there were no scars on this body. This, was not Ianto Jones.

There was a flash of something probably pretty ugly in Jack's eyes and had they been home the young man on the floor most likely would have found himself at the business end of a gun while Jack asked nicely where Ianto Jones was. Luckily, Jack's brain had woken up and was screaming CITY at him and reminding him of the morning when Ianto kicked him out of bed, screaming hysterically about being touched ( ... )

Plus, there are worse things. king_coffee August 16 2008, 14:43:55 UTC
For an instant, Ianto thought Jack was going to hit him, but no blow came. Instead the other man grabbed him and scrutinised him, and it was everything Ianto could do not to shrink under his gaze.

And then the man looked like he wanted to murder someone, just a quick flash, but then instead he simply let go of him and yelled some gibberish.

Scrambling about, Ianto grabbed and yanked on some underwear, jeans and a tee-shirt - he'd definitely have to shower later - and ran out of his door after Jack.

"What the hell is going on?" he called after the man.

Like the lack of getting laid? handsomejack August 16 2008, 14:54:39 UTC
Jack could be a funny, funny creature some times.

Maybe it was the fact that this curse came so close on the heels of their conversation about moving in together that for some reason, going from that level of intimacy, which was huge for Jack, to being strangers...

Even if it was City based, Jack spun in his own doorway, blocking Ianto from following further and making it very clear that the younger man better back the fuck off from his personal space.

"You probably wouldn't believe me if I explained," he said in a rough voice that was neither angry nor inviting. "Just ... you're safe here in this place but best keep an open mind about your experiences."

Well there's that. king_coffee August 16 2008, 14:59:29 UTC
Yep, Ianto backed off, confused as hell, but he didn't let himself be intimidated.

"Right. Well. Fine, I don't know how you ended up in my bed, but I've got to go to work now."

At his crappy job that as far as he knew was only temporary. Oh, he hated London sometimes.

With that, he turned back to his own room to get cleaned up.

Great, he was probably going to be late.

"You won't find it here," Jack said.

But given that this was Ianto Jones, just not Ianto Jones, he knew that there was no way the younger man was just going to take his word for it.

Shaking his head, Jack disappeared into his room. He needed to see how far this mess ranged City wide. Well, okay he needed to see how far this mess ranged in amongst the Torchwood team.

You complain too much. king_coffee August 16 2008, 15:08:57 UTC
Of course, Ianto didn't know that the City was rather dangerous, after all as long as you didn't walk alone at night, the worst thing that could happen to you in London was to be mugged.

And the thought of carrying a gun didn't even cross his mind, after all they were illegal.

"Weirdo," he said under his breath in reference to Jack as he finished getting ready and started to walk back out of his room to go to work.

Ten minutes later, the front door banged open then shut again, and Ianto ran back to his room saying "oh my god," rather loudly as he rushed past and slammed his bedroom door.

That was not London outside. He was just... going to stay in his room where it was nice and safe for a while, thank you.

Tempting as it was to stay in his room and pout like a toodler who's favorite toy was taken away brood, Jack had gotten enough of an idea of how wide this curse was running from his net surfing while Ianto was gone.

At the sound of the scampering feet and slamming door, he sighed softly and pushed away from his desk, walking over to the other room. Yes, at some point he'd run through the shower so he no longer looked thoroughly sexed up.

"Not what you were expecting?" He called through the closed door.

Great, now Jack from across the hallway was back.

"Not quite..." he said, his voice trailing off uselessly as he kicked TB miserably.

Then he set the bear upright. It wasn't his fault after all.
