On New Year's Day
I long to meet my parents
as they were before my birth.
-Natsume Soseki(1867-1916)
First things first, I'd like to apologise for the delay in joining community.
I have heard about this community back in June from Daisuke, but at that point I had started at one of my jobs.
It feels as I have finally gotten used to working night shift ...
I'm really sorry about being late, but you know, they say the real hero always enters last~! ;)
Joke aside, as I briefly skimmed over the logs I could not help but catch fair number of entries about Digimon sightings.
If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
I'll be there in a flash, all matters aside.
I still live with my parents, so if you'd like to visit, just give me a head's up.
I'll make sure to book myself off work then.
More time I spend working and more freedom I get with financial independence,
I cannot help but realize how expensive it is to maintain a life.
It brings shame to my old self, who took food, clothing and warm family for granted.
And yet, just the smallest gesture of kindness our parents thrive-
Certainly, it's not new years atm, but I Soseki's haiku does make me ponder.
It makes me realize how little I know of my parent's youth.
...I guess I'm cooking breakfast tomorrow, served with questions. :)
parents,
greeting
