Room 204, Mid-morning

Oct 17, 2005 10:33

Gil is in his room, sitting at his desk, book open in front of him, notes in the margins and scrawled across the top sheet of the neat stack of paper next to the book, but he's staring out the window, a little lost in thought.

A brisk knock comes on the door, and Anne waits to see if he's about, smoothing her skirts slightly in the hallway.

Gil starts slightly at the knock, and then gets up to go answer the door.

"Anne," he says, face breaking into a bright smile. "Good morning."

[ooc: There's a formal invitation to the party in Amy's journal, if Anne wants to use it. 'Cause Amy does things like that.]

"Good morning," she says, cheerfully, and hands him a card.

"Amy and I are having a tea, this afternoon, and we were hoping you'd come." Her smile is very bright.

"We even made apple pie."

Gil blinks at the card. He knows, rationally, that Amy is a princess, but it's kind of odd to see it written out in black and white. Gil is not used to getting invitations from royalty.

"I'd be delighted," he says, prompty. "Thank you. Are you expecting any other guests?"

He doesn't mention Bran anyone by name.
