I guess it makes sense? That Chibnall did Torchwood and has written Who and 'Broadchurch' was a HUGE deal in the UK, I assure you (although I didn't watch it, heh!)

I can't help thinking Moffat having only either Sherlock or Who is to the good. I don't know anything about Chibnall beyond his CV. Although his Torchwood work suggests a happiness for canon queer which is something.
