*nods* And I really think that for those of us who weren't personally affected by the attacks, this anniversary should have been the time to really think about the political response and the effects it's had. Instead, there's this sickening orgy of jingoism.
Thank you for posting this link. These past few days I have been walking around thinking about the hundreds of thousands of innocent people killed, and of the (irreparable?) damages to the economies of the invaded countries. And about our (female, Labor) Prime Minister, who used to be on the left of her party and who now grieves publically over each dead soldier and keeps thinking up plans to turn back boatloads of refugees.
The only hope I can express is that Chomsky's words will be read and discussed publicly.
