What a wonderful story!

Sometimes, when you just "click" with someone like that, you know immediately what you have-- and how hard it would be to lose it. That your father proposed after one hard week apart (perhaps after only one week together!) says how strong those ties were, and that your mother so readily accepted says that she felt it too.

I don't believe in Fate, but I do believe in great good fortune. Your parents certainly had it!
