This is stunningly good - the thought that the professor was "marking his territory" did flitter across my mind, (dismissed because a heavy-duty "hickey" will work well - but that can usually be covered and facial bruising is more difficult.)

The details of the hunt are facinating - one point. Would a werewolf smell the difference between pig's blood and goat and know it was a trap?
