About drug free labour: I've had both a labour without drugs (with the exepction of gas) and a C-Section... I had my Shelbey (I love that your boy is Kelley like my son Shelbey, nice E!) on my own, and he was my first, like yours. He was almost late but a little (2 bottles) of castor oil (gag) straightened THAT out

that was really encouraging to hear. every one else that i have talked to has just told me horror stories about labor and how i'd be crazy not to have the epidural. I'll admit, after this last visit, i have had my doubts. hearing that has renewed my faith again though. thanks again shanna! :D :D :D
"making love" supposedly will make you give birth earlier :-) (proven by me hehehe)
I did have epidural because I don't think I can handle the pain. And contrary to what others say, I was walking right away and then breasfed too. I didn't feel hang over or anything. Well, you should not feel disappointed if you do end up having an epidural. My friend and I gave birth a week apart and she was all set into having a perfect speedy delivery. She ended up having a strenous labor and a c-section. She had depression because she couldn't accept how she gave birth - she's so diappointed. Whereas I was the one contemplating on having a c-section because I didn't think my baby can't come out naturally because I'm so tiny. To my luck, I had a speedy normal delivery ..... not even an hour! YAY! Good luck.
that makes me feel better too. mostly, i didn't want to go the drug route because i didn't want it to effect Kelley, so it's good to hear some reassurance that it didn't bother MJ to breastfeed and everything afterwards. you're right, i need to not stress about it or i'll only make it worse when i get in there. i just hope i am as lucky as you were with the labor... wow! thanks noreen :)
ps. we have tried your advice, so we shall see.... :D
